Small Handmade Yellow Pottery Jug with Wildflower Design

These small handmade ceramic wildflowers collection jug is a lovely piece of handmade pottery for your table, or a gift to someone special. The pale coloured stoneware clay is decorated with a background of yellow and then the wildflowers pattern which has pops of red, yellow and purple is added to the body of the jug. A sgraffito technique is used to etch the stems of the bright flowers and graceful grasses. The wildflowers pattern is inspired by seeing the meadows around me here in the Kent countryside.

The jug is hand thrown on my potter’s wheel in my garden studio. The clay is fired with a transparent, food safe glaze both inside and out, with the detailing at the base being left unglazed. My maker’s mark is stamped into the base of the jug.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill
