Terms and Conditions

Payment

Please make payment for goods through the website or contact us on marywrightceramics@gmail.com for details in order to effect a bank transfer.

Packaging

I pack my pottery carefully in two boxes to avoid breakages.

I am passionate about reducing the use of plastic and so usually use paper and cardboard, with compostable packing chips. I reuse boxes sometimes if they are given to me to avoid them having to be recycled. Sometimes I also reuse plastic materials.

Delivery

Most UK deliveries are made using Royal Mail Second Class signed for. At times I also use UPS, and reserve the right to use other delivery carriers if needed.

If you would like to collect an item from my studio, then contact me and we can arrange a mutually convenient time to do so.

Additional delivery charges apply to all other countries. I charge these at cost, and will refund any overcharges as it is sometimes difficult to anticipate the exact costs.

There may be VAT, Customs and Duties charges incurred for all international orders. Please note that these are payable by the customer and may incur delays to the arrival of the product.

Returns

My refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, I can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. I strongly recommend that when returning any items it is packed in two boxes with packing chips in between the two boxes in order to protect the ceramics. I am not able to refund or exchange any items that are returned damaged or broken in transit.

Gift cards are not returnable.

To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.

If an item is returned after 30 days it will not be able to be refunded.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Mary Wright, 36 Granville Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1EY.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the original cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund. If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. If the returned item is not received then I cannot offer a refund.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I  have received your returned item and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, as soon as possible.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact me at marywrightceramics@gmail.com

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

I only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send me an email at marywrightceramics@gmail.com with a photo of the defective work.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, I will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Perfection

As a result of the process of hand making an item it is virtually impossible to make my products millimetre perfect and all items have approximate measurements. If this is a concern for you, then I suggest that you contact me and I can give you details of the exact product that I might send to you.

I make everything myself and so there is variation in the design between items. There are also sometimes marks and wobbles and splashes on the pottery. All of these show that it is handmade and is part of the joy of holding something unique and hand crafted.
