Small Handmade Pottery White Jug with Midsummer Flower Design

This small handmade ceramic pitcher with a white background and encircled by delicate flowers is full of delightful charm. The small white pottery jug is not only a practical addition to your kitchen, but also a delightful gift choice, bringing the joy of midsummer flowers into your home.

It has a classically modern style with an intricate rainbow coloured flower design. The jug is hand crafted with care and uses a slip and sgraffito technique where the stems of the colourful flowers are etched through the white slip and into the clay. The design is inspired by my own garden on a summers evening and evokes a sense of joy and the timeless beauty of nature.

The jugs are hand thrown with a buff coloured stoneware clay on my potters wheel in my garden studio in Kent, UK. The clay is fired with a transparent glaze both inside and out, with the detailing at the base being left unglazed. My maker’s mark is stamped into the base of the jug.

• I make each small jug myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
