Green Handmade Pottery Vase with Wildflowers Design

Standing tall and proud, this versatile green handmade ceramic vase serves as a striking centrepiece or a captivating standalone work of art. Its generous size allows for a bountiful arrangement of fresh flowers, infusing any room with vibrant natural beauty. As a gift, this straight sided vase embodies thoughtfulness and an appreciation of the beauty that can be found in the natural world. The vases are inspired by the picturesque countryside and wildflower meadows that I see around me in Kent, UK and are made in my garden studio.

The vases are hand thrown on the potters wheel from a pale coloured stoneware clay, and subsequently carefully decorated using a slip and sgraffito technique. Pops of colour create the flowers and then the stems of the purple, red and yellow flowers and graceful grasses are etched through the background colour and into the clay behind. This technique adds depth and texture to the flower design and reflects a fusion of artistry and functionality. The clay is fired with a transparent, waterproof glaze. My maker’s mark is stamped into the base of the vase.

• I make each vase myself so please expect some variation in shape, size and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
