White Handmade Pottery Mug with Knole Trees Design

This white contemporary ceramic mug is a delightful item for your home – or a wonderful gift to those who relate to the natural world. The mug is encircled by a motif of green trees, and, using a sgraffito technique the trunks and branches are etched into the clay beyond.
The simple and effective design connects you to a narrative of survival and renewal, of natures resilience as it is inspired by the destruction and regrowth caused by the hurricane in 1987 in Knole Park near where I live.

The mug is glazed in a transparent stoneware glaze and has my makers mark at the base of the handle.

• I make each mug myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
