Large White Handmade Pottery Facetted Bottle with Blue Leaf Motif
This white thrown and altered handmade stoneware ceramic bottle show cases the beauty of brushed white slip with the addition of blue leaf motifs. Whether being gifted as a special present to a loved one or being kept as a decorative piece for an interior design scheme it will bring the beauty of the natural world into your home.
The motif is inspired by the bushes that I see in Autumn hedgerows, particularly the Blackthorn, or Sloe bush.
Made in my garden studio, in Kent, UK I first throw and then alter the bottle to give it interest and volume, and then apply white slip in the Korean tradition of Buncheong ceramics. Following this, the leaf motif is added. Once biscuit fired, I apply a transparent glaze and it is fired to stoneware temperatures.
· Approximate dimensions: Diameter 14 cm, height 20 cm

· All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
