White Handmade Ceramic Pottery Salt Pig with Midsummer Flower Design

Whether brightening your kitchen workspace, gracing a shelf or serving as a delightful gift, this white handmade salt pig adds a burst of floral charm to any space. The handmade ceramic salt pig has a white background and is encircled by delicate rainbow coloured flowers.

The salt pigs are hand crafted with meticulous care and I use a slip and sgraffito technique so that the stems of the colourful flowers are etched through the white slip and into the clay beyond. The design is inspired by the joy and vibrancy of my own garden on a midsummers evening, with flowers in full bloom.

They are hand thrown with a buff coloured stoneware clay on my potters wheel in my garden studio in Kent, UK. The clay is fired with a transparent glaze both inside and out, with the detailing at the base being left unglazed. My maker’s mark is stamped into the base of the salt pig.

·        I make each salt pig myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.

·        All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
