Tall Handmade Pottery Vase with Black and Yellow Decoration inspired by Scandi Mid Century Modern Design
With its elegant and curved outline this Scandi designed, handmade ceramic vase captures the essence of graceful movement. The arching black and yellow brush strokes are applied onto a white slip background. They are inspired by the natural beauty of flowers and plants that I see around me in the Kent countryside and give the vase a sense of rhythm, complimenting the form of the vase itself.
The vase is ideal for a bouquet or bunch of flowers, arranged in a modern, relaxed fashion. Its opens outwards at the top which is ideal for allowing flowers to naturally drape outwards. The vase would make an perfect accent to any space and be a wonderful gift to anyone who appreciates flowers.
The vase is hand thrown on my pottery wheel in my studio in Kent, UK. Following its biscuit firing, a waterproof, transparent glaze is applied and fired to stoneware temperatures. The vase that will be sent to you is the one in the second and following photos.
