Small White Handmade Thrown and Altered Bowl with a Blue Leaf Motif
A beautiful small stoneware ceramic bowl, decorated with white slip and a blue leaf design. The bowl would make an perfect accent to any space and be a wonderful gift.
The bowls are first thrown by hand on the wheel and then altered while the clay is still wet. This bowl has a split rim which comes together in places, where the sides are marked. Once leather hard, the foot ring is turned into the base of the bowl and it is decorated using white slip which is brushed inside and out, and an underglaze decoration is applied. My maker’s mark is stamped into the base. The bowl is glazed inside and out with a transparent glaze and fired to stoneware temperature. The foot ring is left unglazed.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
