Medium White Handmade Pottery Moon Jar with Blue Brush Marks
A stunning medium handmade pottery moon jar or vase which is decorated with blue colour added with a special brush. With its elegant and curved outline this exciting heirloom piece captures the essence of graceful movement and the fluidity of the clay when being created on my potters wheel. The coloured brush strokes are inspired by the countryside that I observe around me and compliment the form of the vessel itself.
I hand threw this vase dark coloured stoneware clay. It is then decorated by brushing the clay with a white slip and the underglaze colours. The vase is glazed with a transparent glaze inside and out and is able to hold water without an issue. My makers mark is stamped into the base of the vase.
