Large Low Green Handmade Pottery Bowl with Wildflowers Design

Step into the Kent countryside with this large ceramic green fruit bowl. It is perfect as a centrepiece to hold fruit, or for serving at your dining table. Alternatively, it can be a meaningful gift for a housewarming or wedding, symbolizing the enduring beauty of nature.

The design is inspired by the wildflower meadows that I see around me in the Kent countryside. Using a slip and sgraffito technique the vibrant pops of colour of purple, red and yellow are added to the yellow slip and then their stems and the grasses are etched into the clay, adding depth and texture to the surface of the bowl.

The pale coloured stoneware clay is glazed with a food safe transparent glaze on the inside and outside, except for the foot ring at the base. My maker’s mark is stamped onto the base of the bowl.

• I make each bowl myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
