Large Handmade White Serving Plate with Grey and Red Decoration

This large stoneware platter would be a wonderful addition to your tableware collection. The handmade plate has a white slip background which is a canvas for the grey and pale red brush strokes, reminiscent of the curves of the natural world. The slip is textured around the generous rim of the plate which enhances its’ visual appeal, adding depth and character.
The plate is hand thrown on my potters’ wheel in my garden studio in Kent, UK. It is then turned to create the foot rings on the base of the platter and then decorated by hand.
With its larger size, it is both versatile for presenting food but can also be used as a centrepiece or decorative accent to a room.

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
