Handmade Ceramic Teapot with Black and Turquoise Decoration

£139.00

A very special handmade pottery teapot which is decorated with black and turquoise brush marks. With its elegant and curved outline this teapot captures the essence of graceful movement and the fluidity of the clay when being created on my potters wheel. Whether creating drama as a centrepiece for an interior design, being used on your tea table, or being gifted to a special someone, this ceramic piece will bring the inspiration & beauty of nature into your home. The brightly coloured brush strokes are inspired by the countryside that I observe around me and compliment the form of the vessel itself.

The teapot is hand thrown with a dark coloured stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel in my studio here in Kent, UK. It is then decorated by brushing and marking the clay with a white slip and brushing colours onto the surface of the bowl. The vessel is glazed with a transparent glaze inside and out which is food safe, down to the detailing at the base which remains unglazed.

• The teapot holds 2 ½ to 3 large cups of tea

• Approximate capacity: 700 ml / 26 fl. oz

• Approximate dimensions: height to lid 12 cm, length end to end 20 cm

• Food safe

• Dishwasher safe

• Free UK delivery

• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
